In the centre of Anglezarke Moor is an enormous mound.
Although Historic England show the site as scheduled as a bronze age long barrow, they also say that there is no evidence to back this up and that Round Loaf is probably a glacial deposit.
I had always believed that the mound was natural, maybe a glacial deposit from the end of the ice age, but there is some evidence to suggest that Round Loaf could be man made.
